Mayan Museum (90 mins) - $18USD per person

To encourage community participation and afford a fully authentic Mayan cultural experience, participating visitors will have "hands-on" demonstrations at the Maya Center Mayan Museum during the tour, with full immersion into this living culture. After a comprehensive tour of the implements used in daily life, in the Mayan kitchen you will learn step by step how to make fresh corn tortillas using a grinding stone and then cook them on hot clay - just as the ancient Maya did. Eat and enjoy it to the sound of Mayan Marimba music.

Mayan Chocolate Experience (2 hours) - $25USD per person
Chocolate making tour from the cacao tree to the Mayan chocolate bar which you will make the traditional Mayan way on the Mayan grinding stone. At the cacao farm learn the history and management of an organic cacao farm – touch and taste organic cacao beans stratight from the tree at this community Agro-tourism venture. Your support will continue to sustain the Mayan Museum and will help to keep the Mayan culture alive!

A short drive to the lowland broadleaf forests in the saw-toothed Maya mountains and the Mayflower Bocawina National Park for adventure on Belize’s longest zipline! Glide like a bird through the pristine Rain Forest Canopy on the longest zip line in Belize and Central America, with 12 platforms, 8 different runs and a rappel. The complete course is 2.5 miles long with the longest single run being 2,300 feet. Zip line has triple safety and tour takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. Recommendations: Take bug repellent, long pants, t-shirt, sneakers and tie up long hair.

Full day includes hike in Mayflower Bocawina National Park, entrance fees and lunch. Add $37US per person.

Motor vehicle transfer to the lush jungle, mysterious caves and majestic Cave’s Branch River for a guided cave tubing adventure.

Embark on a 15 minute drive on a jungle bus to the caves branch river where you will tube along for 100 feet to the entrance of the cave system. Your underground expedition takes you off the beaten path to explore ancient Mayan ceremonial centers, pottery, artifacts, altars, obsidian blood-letting blades, jade and the actual footprints of the Shaman and priests that date back to 400 A.D.

Imagine the experience as you float through an underground cathedral, turning your lights off and floating away into time as your professional guide shares with you the history of the caves and the Mayan world.  For lunch your guides will prepare an underground riverside picnic spread complete with picnic blanket, tortillas with cold cuts, juice, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Eating your lunch by headlight, to the sounds of the underground caves while chatting with your fellow adventurers will be an experience you will not soon forget.

  • Intensity Level: Moderate – Extensive underground hiking and climbing throughout the cave is necessary in addition to cave tubing.
  • Age Recommendation: 7 yrs old and older
  • Mandatory Clothing: Comfortable light weight shorts and shirt that allow for movement and can get wet. Well-treaded sneakers or hiking boots, and mosquito repellent.
  • Notes: This adventure is subject to high water levels from time to time throughout the year and can be replaced with another tour.

A 45 min boat ride to South Water Caye Marine Reserve and our island base on the barrier reef for snorkeling, kayaking and relaxing in Belize's largest marine reserve. Guided snorkel tour and unlimited beach snorkeling and kayak usage with a stop at Man O War Caye – a nesting island for the Magnificent Frigate Bird and Brown Boobies.
